1989 BMW paint correction...
This is a very swirled up car, but it is driven daily and the owner didn't think I could do too much with it.
I took pictures with the owner's P&S Nikon, but don't have them yet. However I took some with my cell phone. The trunk (terrible repaint) is done and the 2 sides of the hood. PROCESS Wetsanded some areas of the hood 2000/2500 HD UNO - 2250 rpm white scholl wool pad HD UNO - 2100 rpm HD UNO orange pad HD UNO - Flex 3401 speed 6 green ccs pad ZAIO - Flex 3401 blue ccs pad FK1 1000 by hand Magic Wax by hand Before During After

I was also rushing towards the end because someone wanted to go home. Before After polishing Before After Before After

Untouched side
Polished side Worst Panel After (3 passes) all polishing steps After waxing, but the pictures are so so or worse. The important thing is that the car looks a little better now.

Thanks Everybody for your kind words.
Toad - only part of the hood was sanded - the front (about 12" across) and some random scratches on the right side of the the hood in the middle.

Last year I wet sanded a red 635 to remove the entire clear coat from the car. Couldn't talk the owner out of it, but had wonderful results. |

This car's hood was repainted and I always measure the paint so that I know what I have to work with.

Thank you guys!
The car is owned by the owner of the shop annd I doubt that it will ever get any new mods. The 7 series is a 100% show car and I believe the shop put on an air suspension.
