Motorola T505 Bluetooth Car Kit

Motorola has this for about $130 to listen to your calls through your car speakers. It claims there is no installation... sure hope they aren't using FM broadcasting for neighboring cars to hear you conversation.

Has anyone bought one of these and played around with the idea of enabling it to be used with the controls on the steering wheels for those of us that don't have bluetooth assist installed?

Update:
Bluetooth is used from your phone to the device then FM with DSP processing to your car radio. Doesn't sound too promising for phone use but may be promising with an iphone or other bluetooth music devices so you don't have to use the aux cable.

A2DP audio is broadcast over FM; call audio is routed to the internal speakerphone.

If you want vehicle integration, why wouldn't you get the pro-install version that supports it ? The entire point of a "self-install" carkit is that there's no extra wires.

Again, FM radio isn't used for HFP audio. The iPhone doesn't support A2DP for music so a T505 isn't going to get you anything useful.

That said, the FM modulator is pretty sweet. It'll scan for unused frequencies and announce over the speaker which station you should tune your radio to.
