Wheels from JleviSW - Duty?
I was looking at ordering some rims and tires from JleviSW. How much should I expect to pay for duty and taxes? Also, how much were you guys charged for shipping to Toronto?
Thanks. |

I think I can answer this since I just received my rims from them a couple days ago. On my 19" rims with mounted tires the total duty came to $157 which is not bad at all considering the great deal on the tire package. I think with everything in I ended up paying around $1800.00 total.

Yeah, I remember my wheels being under $200 as well. If you got a good deal on the wheels, then its much cheaper than buying local even if you have to pay duty.

Duty is 6% I believe. Of course you will need to pay GST and PST. Also you may have to pay enviro levy as well.
Even still...usually it's still cheaper than ordering locally. |

if the wheels are made in the us then there are no duties... just brokerage and tax. otherwise i believe the duties are 6%. you can look up the tariff code for wheels/rims here and see exactly what the tax is:

It took about a week or so. Great service at Jlevi. The only thing to keep in mind though is that the wheels only get shipped to Canada customs at Pearson airport. You either have to go there and declare them yourself once they arrive or hire a broker to do it although that costs money. I went myself and declared the tire package, paid the duty fees and took them home. It was a bit of a pain but it's worth saving $400 +. Oh and pics are coming. Just have to wait for my car to arrive... lol.

JLeviSW offered to under-declare the value of the wheels for me, I think I only ended up paying like $100 everything said and done. Oh and they ship FedEx which was nice, UPS would have orgasmed just looking at a package that large.
