Arrow E92 335i - stock exhaust sound with gutted cats.

Heres a short video of my E92 335i with gutted cats. I haven't had time to weld up a new exhaust system yet but wanted a little bit more sound out of the car.

If you can leave black marks on a straight from the time you exit a corner till the time you brake for the next turn....... Then, you have enough horsepower.

It sounds great. I had a friend take a video of me driving down the road and I could hear the turbine whine out the exhaust pretty good.

What did you do exactly to get the gurgle consistently?

It Seemed a little bit more predominant in his video; but that could just be the volume. But yes thats what I'm interested in, the description stated he re-tuned the DME to ensure he consistently gets the gurgle.

it will pop and gurgle for a bit when you downshift or let off the gas with the resonator removed, but if you want it to rumble all the way down the revs.. just hold the gas down a bit

When you gut all the cats you will get signifigant popping, because unburned fuel is exploding upstream in the exhaust.

Are both cats removed, primary/secondary? Is your car tuned?
Love the popping sound. If you have more details how you accomplished this will be great

Looks like I wasn't subscribed to updates from this thread, so I didn't know there were any replies til now. I can't find the exact copy of the map from the video, but if I remember correctly I modified the "Torque Request Tables" in Cobb ATR.

At 0% pedal position requested torque was 0, I increased this a very small amount. The car idled slightly higher as I expected, but the increase was hardly noticeable.
