http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bmw-3...#ht_2507wt_793
that is the link. Anyone know anything about these turbos? i talked to the guy personally sounded very smart said they are running the jb4 and Procede V5 with it and downpipes making over 400whp. And i talked him way down on his price? whats everyones take's on these? after today i know i need to ditch the Dinan and get some better power. Just hope Dinan accepts the return

A lot of info on the AWD turbos on here. Those were the other ones I was talking about besides the RB (Rob Beck).
There results with the AWD haven't been as great as the RB's, at least so far. I'd wait on turbos, see what else comes out. Maybe go catless, aftermarket intercooler, and a different tune first, then maybe a meth kit to get around the 91 octane here. Guess you could do turbos and a tune instead, but while making more power than stock, they may be limited by stock IC and catted downpipes. Keep in mind turbo install price is prob steep. I would love to see how upgraded turbos would perform up here though. |

im thinking returning Dinan (step 1) 2. getting jb4 3. Cattless downpipes 4. after market intercooler 5. then upgrading turbos.(guy at AWD said it should take 6-8 hours to install so around 500-600 at independent shop 6. Then possibly a meth kit... Hopefully all within about 4 months or less

You need an oil cooler first. More boost = more heat. You need extra cooling before a bigger tune. Thats why dinan usually doesn't flash stage 2 without an oil cooler.

Those turbos only upgrade the cold side, if i were to get upgraded turbos, I would absolutely without a doubt get the RBTurbos. They not only upgrade the cold and hot side of the turbo (unlike any other option), they retain the stock oil and water cooling...AND they also upgrade the wastegates, which are a known issue.
In fact, if my turbos were to ever go, I would upgrade to those. Hit up N54tech.com, there is a lot of info about them over there. |

RB turbos are also 1,000 more than my negotiated price with AWD. for that i can get the oil cooler as well.. Will see still debating what i want to do.. gonna stop by and have dinner with the Murray Motors manager tomorrow and see what he says.. he is smart about all the tuning..

There's alot of JB4 vs Procede debate as to which is better. Sounds like you're planning some expensive mods, I wouldn't choose the tune to control it all based on price alone. Do a lot of research so you don't end up with something you may regret, like Dinan.

Just need to throw some r-compounds on some 17" lightweight tires, with those traps you will be pulling high 12's low 13's easy.
