335i Lease offer

The best offer i got is $750 ($816 including tax), with $3000 down. The total I would be paying in 36 months is $32,376 which is 65% of car value (sold at $50,000).

I usually pay somewhere around 50-55% of car in 3 years, but i find 65% to be too high. what do you guys think?

Residual supposedly is 58%, and money factor for some reason for July is 0.00250 (altho other people told me it was 0.0020, or 0.0021 for july)

Any thoughts, help?

i really do not feel the 3 series is worth $800 in lease a month, and do not think i am getting a good deal at all.

holy crap!! dude you're supposed to be paying 42% of the car over 3 years.
There are people that get payments in the 600's (tax included). Something is not right.

is that $3000 cap cost reduction? or is that total drive off?
Does that include security deposit? Are you getting it waived? Are you a current BMWFS customer? lots of questions

3000 is total drive off. I paid 1500 total drive off on my G35 too, and the lease payments were 1/2 of what BMW is asking for, and the car was exactly $10,000 cheaper than the bimmer.

maybe im not calculating things correctly.
the deal was the car is $50,300.00 exactly, total drive off is $500 exactly, and monthly payments for 36 months are $816.xx including tax.

Thanks for your help, i appreciate the PM you sent man.

okay, here i did some calculations. let me know if im doing this right:

the money factor is 0.0025, so the interest rate is 6%. add the 6% ($3000) to the $50,000 this will make the amount $53,000.
Residual is 58% which means the whole thing i'll pay in 3 years is $30,740. If i take out the $3000 (down payment) there will be $27,740 to be paid over 36 months. which means i have to pay $770 per month excluding tax ($830 including tax).

is that right? am i missing anything, am i stoned?

is it a coupe or a sedan? I THINK the coupe has some different numbers associated with it and will cost more per month to lease even at the same price. could be complete BS though

They were showing me numbers like that at the first dealership i went to but it didn't seem correct. Even if i offered to pay the taxes up front the numbers were still higher than the numbers listed on bmwusa by at least 100 per month.

But i moved to a different place because of a few reasons, takes a lot of research to see if they're screwing you over w/ leases.

man i just have not been able to negotiate. sales persons are literally turning their face away once i start negotiation saying something like they dont have to give me a deal because it will sell at the high rate anyway!
it's killing me. But yeah, you're right i need to dig more.

Yo Mantis. PM me and I'll give you someone in San Luis Obispo who has given me a great deal and been upfront the whole time. I ordered a 335i coupe this monday and I am getting a .0020 MF right away. I find that the internetta sales people are much more responsive to negotiating and quoting low right away. I have found the dealers quoting the best deals and rates are in areas where BMW's are as popular (SLO, Santa Maria, etc.) I live in the Bay Area and no one up here wanted to do less than $500 off MSRP.

well if you find anything out let me know. I still have yet to decide if i'm purchasing or leasing, but based on the numbers i was getting i planned on just purchasing because it wasn't worth leasing at that much / month.

Wow, that was some poor grammar. What I meant to say was : I have found the dealers quoting the best deals and rates are in areas where BMW's are NOT as popular.

First, your MF is WAY Too high.. The buy rate for july is .002, and dealers can increase it a max of .0004. And you don't need to pay that.

I don't have time to type why your deal is so bad.. but at 50k and 0 down, your payments will hover around 770 or so.
