They aren't xenon's
They are halogen lamps. All marketing gimmick. Colour wont be 6500k either The will look blue in your headlights in daylight from their reflection but at night will just look like normal halogens |

Oh I know they aren't xenons, but I was hoping they would look better than OEM. I currently have PIAA 2500ks in there, but realized they are not nearly as bright as needed to function, so I figured I'd go for looks instead.

Hey Jeff thanks I appreciate- my OEMs are 55 watt, and I have the H11s in my m-sport bumper.
I would've bought from Fred but all of his fogs are out of stock! In any case something tells me to return these to Amazon and stick with PIAA or Nokyas |

More and more I'm starting to believe I should just go back to my OEM bulbs- they seem to be the brightest.
Beyond that I would have to put an HID kit my car I think, which I am not prepared to do right now, especially under factory warranty. |

It's because stock wattage is 35 and these are 55. They will definitely run hotter

I'm telling you guys- the M sport bumpers have 55W fogs.
My OEM fogs were Osram 55W H11s I'm talking about the round housings in the M sport package pumper, not the OEM 35W square housing. |

ah. my bad. maybe look to a reputable supplier of lighting? i went with nokya for fogs and they've been great. nice yellow color and works well in the fog.

I honestly think it's because the housings are shit, and they don't project the light- hardly the fault of the bulbs. The best fogs, hands down, were my Catz yellow fogs (separate housings drilled into the bumper and car) on my Ford Contour back in 1999 God knows I wouldn't attempt that same thing with this car I'll just go back to OEM until I'm ready to do HID... wish there was a better way of doing this without fucking with my ballasts and wiring... |

I wanted yellow for functional purposes as well. Ended up going with Hella Optilux. Same issue with my MSport E90. Just doesn't seem bright enough. Sometimes I wonder if my LUX V4 + HID XENON are too bright and overpowering the yellow fogs...
Anyhow, why not try the OEM in one fog and the aftermarket in the other and see which one you like best |
