very true amigo but TE if im not mistaken that lag was basically gone but remember he had done his programming though, hopefully I will be able to provide dyno data soon if i can get of my ass!!!

A dyno is good, measuring before and after intake/outlet temps and pressure drop would be even BETTER!

By any chance do you have a local shop that is knowledgable enough and has the right equipment that can hook up guages to collect this data?

I should reiterate again, I appreciate all of the work and bird-dogging some of you guys have put in to make this a reality, esp 335dwagon and I don't want to my comments to come across as if I am trying to take away form those efforts. I am just a little, well okay ALOT, disappointed that Wagner did not do more homework and provide all of this data before hand.

damn it Chris I aint no techie, LOL I know of one, but these guys are WAy above me the run the fastest 1/2 mile on their GTRs, lets say 185 mph on the 1/2 mile

Im also a little upset at them cause no other info is provided the only SOMEWHAT data is from 335d and his butt dyno LOL!!!

It would be great if you could see if you can get some insight from that GTR shop - it sounds like turbo charged cars are in their wheelhouse. They might even have the bench flow test equipment, in which case before you install the IC you might be able to drop off your IC and have them run some tests on it? Just a thought...

did not think of it but here in the island theyre more prone to do things and let the techie part out in a way but who am i to say will give them a call though I hv their number good inquiry on this makes me think at times I need a vacation from my job LOL

A good intercooler should not need a remap to make it work. A good intercooler should work regardless.

The charge temps are lower - physically this means colder denser air hence more power. Now if the intercooler has a large pressure drop and the map needs to be changed to bring the boost back up….this is not a good intercooler. You are now asking the turbo to work harder than it was before. An intercooler should not only reduce temps but also do it without causing too much pressure drop.

Unfortunately some of the more common and popular intercoolers do have a large pressure drop but they market them solely on their temp lowering abilities. They do not publish pressure drop numbers because they are not favourable to them.

Got to give it up to Evolve to come like this but its TRUE!!! Lenny @ RENNtech had told me that my flash could raise the bar way better with an aftermarket IC than the stock OEM IC. They had programmed it to do so but he also stated NO ONE is willing!! or able to come to the plate to do so in the states!!!, I for one live in Puerto Rico and cannot DRIVE up there otherwise i would!!! When I lived in florida i used to go to RENNtech for my upgrade on my defunct 02 MCS now i cant

My IC has arrived yesterday;






Will mount it tomorrow. The car is already mapped to 348 / 673 NM.

I'm also planning to dyno it Asap.

@frackje I live in Puerto Rico I fall under US laws unfortunately!!!! but given the opportunity I would bought a Coupe instead of the sedan I love Coupes and the BMW one is by far one of the best looking ones in the Market

I also have a 335D coupe (I live in french Guiana).
But I removed the dpf and remapped to stage 2.

I can't wait to see your dyno/butt results. Thank you frackje.


Evolve said that they remapped more than hundreds of 335D.

Why have they never thought about building a intercooler for this car?
