Ummm...yeah....their economy is far better than ours. We are just about broke. If I could sell my house I would move out of state rapido. Either Bristol or far far far away.....like Oregon.

Folks,
Some may have done this car caravan thing before but some may not. Having organized and lead several car caravans cross country, I'd like to give all of you some reminders: * Everyone follows the caravan leader. No exceptions. Believe me, this saves A LOT of time. * If anyone's fuel drops to 1/4 tank, they should alert the caravan leader ASAP. When a fuel stop is made, everyone fuels their car. Food/Water/Restroom stops are done at that time. * When passing through tolls: ALWAYS line up to the right most booth. Everyone lines at the same booth. This helps the booth operators and reduces chances of an accident. If you have IPASS and the IPASS lane is separated from the cash lanes by concrete bariers, then you go with the rest of the cars. * Everyone stops in the right shoulder about 300-400 ft after the toll booth after they paid their toll. The caravan continues only after everyone is accounted for. This helps eliminated congestion at the toll lanes. * In case of a mechanical failure: Everyone stops. It is good to start fully fueled and have couple of water bottles ready. Carbonated drinks will simply make you go to the restrooms faster and we will have to stop the caravan. It is a good idea to know in advance who is bringing tools. I will be bringing my two main toolboxes with me. While I do not expect any mechanical failures, I've learned that its a necessity when going to a car meet. In case you need to get in touch with me, here is my phone: 419.378.0833 Vasil |

Coming up with me on my way up from O'Hare. His car was having some long start issues this week and he thought the trans might have been slipping while driving at speed while up shifting so he's taking his car into get looked at. He'll probably just ride in my car from Chicago up (assuming his car isn't ready yet) and I'll drop him off on my way back to O'Hare on Sunday.
