M Steering Wheel Cover Peeling - which is the closest color vinyl wrapping?
My ///M steering wheel cover starts peeling What is the closest color of the vinyl wrap (matt color prefer) to use? Matt black or dark gray from 3M scotchprint 1080?
Can I just unscrew the 3 screws from behind the steering wheel and take off the wheel cover? (no air bag removal) Please post some pictures if you are using the above color. I am no intention doing the carbon fiber wrap for the wheel cover. Please advise, thanks. |

I'd like to know this too, mines only slightly peeling in some places - presume someone with a ring scratched it at some point, it's very minimal however it's annoying.
What about "patching" up rather than replacing |

That is the HARD way. The RIGHT way is to remove the airbag first. It's no big deal and makes the exchange simple.

I have no problem taking off the airbag module. The only problem is to find the right color vinyl to match the existing.
I know I can get a new wheel cover but the paint will peel off again in a couple of years later. It does not worth for doing this way. |
