He is the leader of the opposition so of course he will jump on the anti Tory bandwagon otherwise he wouldn't be doing his job.

Since the NHS was founded, there have been many governments, most of them Convervative, and the NHS still thrives. How anyone imagines any government plans to kill it off is beyond me, least of all a government led by David Cameron - someone who values it more than most from personal experience.
So when the country has got no money the Tories decide to have a top down re-organisation just for the sake of it? Wake up! They are going to hand the NHS to their private healthcare buddies. In 5 years time it will be like the USA where healthcare cost twice as much and only covers half the population.

Nobody with any sense is arguing that the deficit should not be paid. The problem is that we have got a Socialist Government in this country. No matter how cr*p you are at your job the government will bale you out.

Am I talking about public sectors workers?

Yes 200,000 specific individuals who previously worked for the banks that had to be baled out. Never mind gold plated pensions getting bonuses worth £300 million when your bank makes a loss!!! Nice work if you can get it.

I'm also referring to all the other bankers whose banks are "too big to fail"
The government are underwriting this whole crazy system by taking from the rest of us. I don't mind paying tax to live in a fairer society/pay of the deficit but I resent my taxes being spent to prop up a broken banking sector. I don't see many apologies from them for causing this whole mess just threats to move abroad if we don't let them carry on as before.

Successive governments of all flavours have reorganised the NHS, that's what governments do, reorganise things,.. education as well. As for the NHS being sold to their "private healthcare buddies" and in 5years being twice as much etc etc., the same was said when Thatcher was in power, and Major after her, yet here we are with another Tory government with a leader who's publicly stated his committment to the NHS. It's just the same old stereotyping of the Tories.

Apparently the Tories clearly stated the following in their manifesto

"No top down reorganisation" of the health service

I am not sterotyping them it is just that they are doing exactly the opposite to what they pledged at the election.

Also to be fair even Maggie had the sense to not mess too much with the NHS although she did leave it in a terrible state due to under investment.

It does, but its a drop in the ocean. I think me shooting you down was abit harsh, apologies for that. Just your comment made me think about the bigger picture and the structural changes that are required in this country.

Wether you are Tory or Labour, all can agree the Bankers caused this mess. I find there threats to leave this country if we demand they be more reasonable, somewhat immoral.

Capitalism can be a good way to allocated scarce resource within a nation, However it fails when wealth/resources are collected by the few and not put to good use for the many.

Agree, in the whole scheme of things it’s a small consideration, but retail turnover ultimately leads and PAYE contributions which funds some of these hard done buy students. Don’t cut off the hand that feeds is my thinking.

Oh and don’t get me started on the banks.

This made me chuckle.

A banker, a Daily Mail reader and a benefit claimant are sitting at a table sharing 12 biscuits. The banker takes 11 of them and then says to the Daily Mail reader, “Watch out for the welfare scrounger, he wants your biscuit”.

So many mean-spirited people on this forum. So depressing. I bet you'd claim benefits if you needed to. But since you don't need to, you automatically despise anyone less fortunate than you who does.

Sometimes I think this forum should merge with the Daily Mail.

Of course as I've repeatedly said in the past, my getting involved in these discussions can be blamed on nobody but myself. As someone said above, best to stick to strictly car-related matters.

It's very sad to read this stuff, truly distressing. Such shrivelled souls.

I've changed my car-buying plans so will be taking another prolonged absence from this forum. Some good people on here, but quite a few total wankers too.

All the best.

Your superior intellect and outstanding compassion are obviously too abundant to be appreciated by such a bunch of middle-class Tory sympathisers.

While I find some your debates slightly amusing, I find others overly provocative and your stance generally over-sensitive.

Stop taking things so seriously and try to lighten-up – it’s just a forum after all. It's really not that distressing if you put things in context - famine, earthquakes and floods are distressing.

Good luck in your new automotive acquisition

BTW, souls are make-believe, shrivelled or otherwise.

I'd shoot the banker and the daily mail reader, then give the benefit claimant 3 biscuits to clean up the mess or take the fall for my heinous crime.

Correct answer. You go to the top of the class.

Talking of Daily Mail and jokes

http://notsuitableforthedailymail.bl...her-jokes.html

for those of you that can't be bothered to click on the link this is the best line.

The Daily Mail used to be a newspaper targeted to women, but now it is targeted to the easily paranoid and the criminally insane.

I'd then do away with the benefit claimant and reclaim the three biscuits. Doing away with one body (one that won't be missed) has to be easier than disposing with three.
