I'll order one if available when I do mine.
Looks nothing like the Citation. Three series is not some exclusive kind of ride some of you think it is. world wide they sell great quatities with much smaller engines. They are like Camry's. We get the mac daddy leather encrusted versions. This version makes sense in a world that needs back seats and utility. Not everyone can get a coupe and make it their personal shrine to show the world their special. They are nice cars. Make mine a 2 plus 2 with fold down seats, MT, Sport and a panaramic roof! |

Yes bmw, this and the 5GT's look can surely compete with for example the upcoming A7 ... Not
Except for the X1 there really hasnt been any good bmw news modelwise lately My hopes for new 3, 5 etc in 2011-2012 are very very high up there since those models are currently above their competitors in style/performance imo |

As others have said, I see no point to the 3 and 5 series GT. If someone wants a 5 door 3 or 5 series sell them the wagons offered in each car.
In addition they both look ugly and the wagon versions of either look much better IMO. |

The 3er Gran Turismo is known as "Progressive Activity Coupe" because it is a progression of a Touring mixed with a Coupe. In real life the car takes this shape but not the details.
From a previous post. The 3er Gran Turismo is borne out of the idea of reintroducing a highly sporting individual model. Internally named as "Progressive Activity Coupe" the 3er Gt takes it form as a substitute to a coupe or Touring. A 3er Coupe might not have the flexibility of a Touring for a customer who like the 3er Coupe but is deemed to be impractical , to the same of the 3er Touring or a BMW X3 for their characteristics. BMW 3er Gran Turismo is a solution for those who want more character with a coupe or indeed a Touring. Less niche than the BMW 5er Gran Turismo, BMW aim to position the 3er as a sporting alternative to the Touring or indeed the X3. The 3er Gran Turismo takes a traditional 3er shape but the roof slopes back towards the rear of the car giving it a very raked shooting brake but lower than a Touring rear end. The rear windshield will be shorter although it will wrap around the rear of the car for added visiblity , not too much though , instead of a larger side window like a touring the 3er GT will inherit a smaller quarterlight. The interior although based on the 3er will feature some exclusive GT aleterations such as a shelf like dash , and a more raked central console. BMW 3er Gran Turismo will be an excellent addition to the sports sedan/wagon segment it will be unique and more individual than the conventional Touring. |

The E91 335 was on the European market before the E92 335.

Wow, my only hope is they keep this in the European market.
I understand that in Europe, BMW is nearly as ubiquitous as Chevrolet, Ford or Toyota, but here in the States, the Roundel and 'BMW' mean something. I really hate the fact that that meaning is getting diluted with these "crossover" concepts that cater to a lifestyle and not to the essence of what is supposed to be "The Ultimate Driving Machine". I know it sounds snobbish and elitist, but that's one of the reasons I bought a BMW and have wanted one for as long as I can remember. Because it stood for something and was always something for me to work to attain, and didn't always follow the crowd, or follow what everyone else was doing. It's a little off topic, but I see Pontiac GT's that are hard to tell from a BMW, I see a Hyundai SUV that resembles an X3, that resembles a Kia SUV, that resembles... you get what I'm saying. Honestly, this 3-series and 5-series GT look like something Detroit would dream up.

Not opposed to it. Especially if we can get it in 335xi.
Seems to be the trend (see new Panamera). FM

It wont look anything like that picture. They should know better than to cut the front end off the sedan and add the 5 Series GT on the back.
Would be like Kate Moss having Jennifer Lopez's arse surgically attached.

BMW means the same the world over - Premium , Individual , excellent dynamics , Efficiency and Innovation. Crossover products such as the 5er Gran Turismo and X6 are purely developed from marketing needs and strong research. Customers especially now are looking for more from cars , customers who where briefed on the 5er GT on where apathic to Sport Activity Vehicles and did not need the utility of a Touring and were bored with the concept of a sedan. As were X6 customers who we found out owned a SAV/SUV and an additional model like a Porsche 911 etc - it's these customers who have welcomed the X6 and the concept of a Sport Activity Coupe. Now with the GT since we released the concept car there has been interest and since the launch of the production model - our web traffic and interest has exceeded our expectations for this car and we have been aggressively marketing this car especially in Europe with "The Cube" a personal introduction to the car at either a cultural or innovation event. One model that has really caught on fire is the new BMW X1 originally not conceived for the US Market but recently overturned to include the US market. We are already building substantial orders for both the X1 and 5er Gran Turismo. Again the response is always why no Supercar? Why no R8 rival? , Why no 8er ? Our interest in supercars and high expensive vanity projects was vanquished in light of our Efficient Dynamics strategy as we invested in making sure our upcoming models which are frequently available now were ready for emission regulations in our european market. Because of this we are the Market leader in efficient premium cars further ahead than both Audi and Mercedes-Benz . More regulations are forthcoming and BMW are in the right direction regarding future products that will meet this challenge head on. BMW are not Audi nor Mercedes-Benz and do not forsee the need to reflect their product line up in the name of image , In Europe a customer who buys our base 116i Sporthatch enjoys the perfect driving dynamics of a BMW as does a customer who buys the top of the range M6 Cabrio. Now by no means is this a comparison that the 116i drives the same as an M6 cabrio because they are two entirely different cars. What I am saying is that the 1er drives well becaue it is engineered to just as the M6 Cabrio is - BMW DNA - Sheer driving Pleasure is evident in every BMW , not just one BMW to offset the image of BMW ,every BMW is highly evident of "Sheer Driving Pleasure" and we do not need to invest in a vanity project to broadcast that image. |

Why don't they stuff this car up their ass and instead give us DCT in the 2010 model year. Now that be way better than some stupid glorified station wagon.
BMW Is on Crack right now, they want to make money so they try to get their greedy fingers into every pie to see if someone will give them money. |
