Brake Pad and Rotor Bed in

How do u all brake in ur new brake pad and rotor? I'm interest to see what everyone does.

All I know if to take it easy for the first 500ks to avoid glazing in pad that could result in squeaky brakes.

Hey Sam, been a long time!

Usually about 8 really hard brakes from 80-100 down to 5kph in short succession, then let them cool. You should smell them and get a bit of fade towards the end. I did my last set on way to track but couldn't get the track pads hot enough, so had to do them at the track.

Hey Mate. How u been?

Matt at Europart.com told me the same. But quite awhile back, when I last change brake, the mechanic told me that I have to take it easy when brake pad is new as sometime hard braking hardens the brake pad and you might end up with squeaky brakes. Maybe he was on drugs...

I guess all brake are different.
