Apex or VMR?

I am looking for opinions......

As far as build, quality and weight go, is there much difference between Apex and VMR wheels? The price is fairly close. The VMR's are a little cheaper though.

OR

Basically, I am going to go with a company in this price point or save and go BBS or HRE(new flow form offering). The cost of this option over going Apex or VMR is about three times but might be worth it in the end.

Any input would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

I have VMR v710 on a Tiag e90 it looks dope in gun metal grey. They look killer in person once mounted on the car. they look aggressive but classy. i would deff recommend but I would deff trade mine for 19s bc i feel 18 are a little to small

Thanks for the input. Do you have any pics you could post? What are your wheel and tire specs? I have been really wavering on the 18/19 debate. Especially after seeing the 17 setup that Apex has on their website!

I have Apex and best thing these is that they are so light and concave, but only from 9.5 and wider. Here is my car 18x9.5 allround.

Personally, I'd go apex for the weight savings & strength. Vmr probably wins the looks contest, but that's my number 2 behind weight & strength when I look at wheels. I'm also not of the camp that thinks 19s are necessary to make our car look good. if you're thinking 18s, I'd go with the apex, but I don't believe that they have a 19" option.

I tend to agree with you. I believe that 19's don't help our cars in terms of performance. It would be a "lets try to fill the wheel well as much as possible" thing. The cost savings is also material as well. Apex has my vote right now. The real question is whether it is worth it to shell out three times as much for BBS or HRE's over Apex.

I guess worth it is a relative thing. You could always keep your eye our for a good used set. There is usually some serious cost savings to be found. Eye4Speed is selling his HREs right now, asking 2500 or so including shipping. Maybe you can work out a deal?

I was looking to get Apex Arc-8s, and have them custom painted in BBS's diamond black, when my lovely wife hooked it up with these babies... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13227309

Honestly, I could've been more than content with the Arc-8s, but we won't tell her that as I am ECSTATIC with the RGRs.

apex ec-7. great wheel, and looks good in person.

18s with some nice wide tires, and game over

VMR's are heavy as f0ck, have cheap finishes and are played out. I see kids I'm VW and Audi's rocking them. While Apex's designs aren't original neither, at least they're light and durable.
