I used to see about 290-305 miles to go on fill up on the dash and now I consistently see 330-340 even as high as 400 miles to go on fill ups. So yes my MPG went up 2-3 MPG.

All you need is the box, lid and filter, everything else transfers over or bolts right on.

I am still debating about this.

I LOVE the sound of my aFe, but I'm 100% sure that it give no gains, and even possible loss of power.

So i've already spent nearly $300 on an intake that didnt meet my expectations. Now, the only euro boxes I can find online are from ECS and at 369$, i'm thinking about putting $725 to get the BMW PI from Tischer and call that Intake mod a day because I will get the better intake possible. The thing that bugs me with the euro box is that you have to pay for 2 of the 3 parts that you wont even use (maf and filter).

I love the show (sound), but I also need a go. And if I got it correctly, the PI is the only way to go if you want intake sound without compromising performance. I know the euro box is a good compromise between the two, but I dont want to settle down, sound wise. Am I missing something?

Is the performance difference between the euro box vs. the PI worth the extra $300?

I believe the PI does not actually make any noticeable difference in sound. PI has an additional small air inlet from the windshield area (which i'm not very sure if it makes a lot of difference). But it still uses a flat filter.

Euro box uses round filter which I believe makes more sound. The PI just isn't worth its price tag.

Sell aFe, get Euro box and a tune

When I flow tested the stock air box it made no difference between the stock box + front elbow intake tract vs. stock box no elbow, stock back half box only filter exposed. The new PI lid and front elbow would make no difference. The EURO box out flowed the stock box in all of it's configurations.

I currently have a 330i w/ a K&N drop in. How much more will this benefit me rather than a tune for money?

If everyone is interested enough in buying the euro air box, do you think ECS Tuning would be interested in doing a group buy?

Tune is usually the best performance for price.

I'm in for a group buy if ECS can do just the Box/lid and no mass air.

Is there a resident ECS employee on the forum that we can discuss a group buy with?
