Question Bluetooth phone takes long to connect to 335xi

I want to know if you guys and girls experience the same problem I do. When talking on bluetooth enable phone (Motorola), I open my car and start it up. The conversation goes away, as it detects the bluetooth of the car, but you cannot hear the audio through the car until a minute later. In my FX35, I use to start my car, and my phone transfered my call immediately to my car. I have Progman 28.02 if that helps. What can I do?

I have had the same problem forever in my 330i. I took it to service twice, no help. I have a Motorola also. I end up having to sever the connection from the phone so I can talk. Otherwise, they can hear me but I can't hear them.

It also seems to take forever to establish connection when I get in the car, no conversation. Any calls I receive during that time go bye bye. Not sure why.

I dropped my car off at the dealership today with a list of issues... one of which was my terrible bluetooth connection. I described the exact problem to him, the phantom zone my conversation goes into until the car picks up my phone, and he looks at me like I'm an idiot. He then asks me if my phone is compatible, which of course, it is. He then asks me who my service is through. Then he says, "never heard of this problem, we'll take a look". It was at another dealer 4 months ago with the same issue, but there was no record of it, and they didn't do anything either.

We'll see what they say tomorrow.

Cool, let me know. I was at dealer today for this issue as well for a transmission issue as well. A sales guy told me is normal on BMW cars. Please let me know what the say if they can resolve this problem. I'm pretty sure this is a software problem as Lexus and Infiniti's cars pick up my same Motorola phone on VZ network just fine.

Dude, do you have any idea how many phones are under the "RAZR" brand these days? You could stand to be more specific

Very true! I was thinking that after I posted. More specifically it is a V3c.

The V3c isn't on the compatibility list, but it's an older phone and it looks like they only keep current phones on the list. I'm quite certain the V600 used to be on there, but now it's not. Neither is the Siemens phone they used to sell a snap-in for.

curious.

That said, the V3m is on the list and it's fairly closely related to the V3c.

Unbelievable. The guy just called me and told me there is no problem with the bluetooth. He said they can't replicate it, and tried numerous phones to do so.

I told him I obviously have enough time to just come up with phantom problems so I can take time out of my day to drive all the way to dealerships and get loaners. I mean, really, it's what I like doing. Making up problems for no reason.

I can't believe this car, and this service. I can't wait to get rid of it.

Here is a wacky and crazy idea. Why don't you just SHOW him what it does??
