okay in the morning i wot once and suddenly check engine light came on and car was doing hickups about to turned off or something so i wrote down codes and cleared em out with cobb really quick and it was okay to drive.

P2AAF - fuel pump plausibilty
P29CE - Misfire, cylinder 2

08 335i fmic cai occ bov running cobb ap stage 1+ agressive ST

well drove the car to see if those codes are coming out again so tried light WOT and only P29CE code is poping up twice.

i had replaced spark plugs at 50k from dealer and now is only 60k.

- Im at dealer right now and they told me they cant do anything unless theres shows code but i uninstalled the cobb and erased em anyways so had no FML. However they wanted me to leave the car for a day to inpect it on next appointment so I scheduled for jan 4th. Since I need a brake pad change and oil change I rather do so and take a rent car. But there was a charge $50 for lookong it up for today.

it was okay when i wot hard couple times without cobb, never thrown code. and i reinstalled the map and light wot again it throws right away..

arrrgg should i try new spark plugs?

This has been discussed a lot... Check the sticky as well . If it missfires always on cyl 2 swap the coil first and see if the missfire jump on the other cylinder. If yes replace the coil . If no could be injector.

I don't know what it has. But most cars have a pressure sensor that runs an idiot light or gauge, but is not tied to the ECU. I assume if ours was tied to the ECU that Cobb would have given us a way to log it.

I haven't been on BB in a while, have you fixed your electrical issue?

Protune or BMS Flash? Help me please!!!

Well guys, here's where I'm stuck. I'm currently running the OTS e30 map while blending e85 (5 gallons) with 91 ACN. All of my mods are listed below in my sig. The question is, what do you think will be BEST (performance & efficiency), getting the car protune or buying a JB4 and running the BMS flash?

Extra Info:
*I plan on going with the Vargas Stage 2 turbos whenever they are released (denied new turbos and tired of the rattling from waste gates).
*Still on the fence about running meth.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, I would just get a pro tune. There's no point to run a JB4 when the accessport can control everything just fine.

Ohh, and get meth. There's no way to push any of the aftermarket turbos to their full potential without meth or e85(or DD on racegas)

i am not that experienced, but i would go Pro Tuned if not Pro E tuned. Pro Tuning Freaks are very knowledgeable and will do all to your liking for a good price.

you can do all out performance with an High Ethanol MAP that would be specific to your car. Thus will get maximum power. There are still more ponies to be made with a pro tune E30 MAP, or go higher E40 or E50 such as what I got.

then you can do a custom 91 MAP that can be built for fuel efficiency but still more power than stock.

either way just let them know on your objectives and they can make it for you. High Ethanol MAPs will not get you MPGs, but will get you

I wouldn't change the SP. keep them as they will come in handy later on. You don't want to change out good SP. I am confident they are good especially because you just got the SP maintenance. You may only needed to purchase 1 coil for $60+

I believe you were misfiring on Cyl #2. Swap Coil #2 to #1, do a WOT and see if you get misfire on Cyl 1.

that's what you want to see. Then change #1 Cyl Coil.

no need to purchase all new SP and Coils. But its good to have a spare.

i had the same issue, all it was, was #2 Cyl Coil was bad (bad for aggressive tune). Easy fix no misfire's since.

i
so you are saying if the coil problem then i could just replace the bad coil only? not have to replace all of the coils?

yes correct!

one may argue, since you have already purchased them, just replace them all and be done with it. Coils are easy to replace.

if you could, return all but two, keep a spare. but if you are not hurting for the money, keep em and or change em all. But throw out the bad coil, once you do the trail and error process with Cyl #2.

EDIT:

this is why you should do the Coil Swap first. because if its not the Coil, then do the SP, if neither, then its Injector and may need WalNut Shell blasting. A quick 15 min. for a coil swap could save you some $$.

Get a ProTune. When you get your Vargas Turbos you'll prob need the N20 TMap Sensor (to raise the boost above 20 psi) & a readjusted ProTune. You're better off running through your tune through one single (complete) option then having one tune for just fueling & timing and a second for just boost (especially if you have to trouble shoot). Meth is best run independently with a flow sensor/fail safe like on an Aquamist HFS-3 (or higher HFS kits)

Yes you are correct on #1. As for #4, could be the same problem.
