Quick oil question

Do I really need BMW Synthetic oil for my 330i, or can I run Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W30?

you can run the mobile 1 european formula which comes in 0-40w.

it needs to be rated bmw LL-01

castrol makes a european syntec rated LL-01 also

just so you know, the castrol syntec that is euro and LL-01 is 0-30w.

neither one is 5-30w like the bmw oil.

you can find the bmw oil cheaper online than the dealer.

and in my opinion, which is worth nothing lol, you could run any quality 5-30w synthetic as long as you don't push the change intervals to the CBS limit (around 15,000mi). if you changed it more frequently, like 5000mi it should be fine.

Actually, dude you may want to look into using Royal Purple! My engine loves this stuff, and IMO its the best oil for our engines, no I don't sell it but I did my home work like your doing know and came to this conclusion. Numbers don't lie...

I think the review test is attached....

I recommend Redline 5w-30 or Motul 8100 X-max 5w-30. Both are excellent choices... Redline is more easily available though. Mobil 1 synthetic formula isn't what it use to be.
