Peeps, how often do you take your car to continental Europe? Trips by public transport or airplane don't count.
I think I've been about 5 times this year. |

Never taken my own car.
Starting from Aberdeen it's a long long drive to get out of the UK. More often when I'm abroad it's feet up and not even interested in driving. |

Quite a few posters here reside in continental Europe .... Just back in Switzerland from a nice slow 5 week break to Scotland.
My nose and ears are warm again. And the rain falls vertically. D.

Used to go all the time for weekends and weeks away, couple of years back did Paris one weekend, Geneva motor show two weeks later, then Euro Disney the month after that, then down to South France, then went to the Italian lakes and came back via Poitiers in France.
So around 10k Euro miles in that 6 months, in the 535d Touring, and it gobbled them up. Problem is we now have a 2 year old, and I would rather spend 2 hours on a plane when he is with us. Plus flying is getting a lot cheaper than driving and that is before working out what you have added to the depreciation too. |
