Retrofit guide for Rain Light Sensor for E90/E91

Hi

I've been searching for a while for a retrofit guide for RLS. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I've looked in the DIY section and nothing there.

The FLA instructions show how the RLS is connected.

The stalk button is the bigger problem.

The bmw technical training guides posted here have all of the info on these systems.

Are you trying to retrofit rain sense wipers? If so don't bother, they are garbage!

Mine works marginally faster for s torrential down pour as it does for a light mist. Frankly the light mist speed even stinks. It has to be like 75% coverage before it wipes.

A whole lot of bumps for a garbled barely their question... Do you have auto wipers already and trying to make them actually work or do you wish to get that feature somehow..??

Seriously the e90 has to have the worst auto wiper design ever. There is even a sensitivity wheel that no matter which way responds the same... I've been unable to see through the rain and it still won't trigger.

Wow.

There are a bunch of parameters for detection and windscreen color and transparency that affect the RLS.

While I did not set anything related to this, I do not get the poor behavior often described here.

I wonder if the RLS settings have to be tuned to your specific glass?

I've managed to fit the stalk and everything else. I just need to fit the rls to the windscreen and do the wiring. Still asking the question of anyone has done this?
