WTD SWS-8 subs
Long shot but anyone looking to sell their sws-8 under seat subs?
Could also do a swap (logic 7 subs) plus cash (depending on condition etc) Or if anyone can point me in the right direction to purchase in the UK |

Just tested these subs to their limits today. They are really worth of every penny. Hit hard as low as 40Hz.
If they go in a better enclosure, they will sound far better.

If you have L7 setups, you will require SWS-8s (4ohms).
If you have hi-fi setup (with hi-fi BMW amp), you will require SWS-8is (2ohms).

You will be under-powering it with alpine amp. Best bet, hi-fi coded head unit with L7 sub. Dont waste your time on fitting these unless you are going for aftermarket amp.

I have 40W at 2R on the bass units, but now the Alpine pushes out 85W at 4R which is over powering the stock ones and will distort upon full volume as I have noticed. Considering the Hifi stock bass is 70W per channel at 4R, I seriously doubt I am going to under power the SWS 8s using the Alpine.

SWS-8s deffo won't work to optimal level with alpine Amp. L7 subs however with alpine OE amp would go hand in hand and you're better off doing that tbh if you don't want to go down an aftermarket amp.
I read up sMistryn's looking for SWS-8s and has L7s to let go of.. should be a no brainer for your set up but each to his own |
