Good to meet everyone also. BTW here's the next event.

http://www.nccbmwcca.org/index.php?id=97,1055,0,0,1,0

Its actually the same day I signed up for UDSK at Tate, so I guess its an 'all-BMW' day for me.

Hey Guys,

I just got back into town. Thanks for the warm welcome.

sstarch1, I didn't realize it was you. My bad.

I'm still a big Bimmerhead at heart as I'm seriously tempted for a 135i (if it makes it to the states).

I'll be at the next happy hour and hope to see you guys there.

Also the Autocross School is on the 7th and sign up is open on the NCC website. For those who haven't tried Autocross, it's a (fairly) low speed event designed to test ones' car control ability. We take a large stadium parking lot and cone it into a course. You run the course solo (not door to door) and try to beat the guys that are in your class. It's horridly addicting like all forms of motorsport, very inexpensive (around $20) for the event, and not particularly hard on the car (just your tires). The great thing is that if you have a bad day and spin, cones don't do any damage except to your pride (J/K about the pride part).

They are a ton of fun and we (NCC) try to keep things light hearted and jovial (see we make fun of each other all day long on the PA). I'll have to post where someone wrote on my back window Porsche compensator lol. You'll also find that everyone that participates in these events are really easy going and willing to help you learn.

Hope to see everyone out there,

Pete

Sounds great, we had a lot of fun at the last one...

Unfortunately, I'd be in Florida on business travel. I'll be sure to catch the next one though.
