Unmarked plod

Been to Eastbourne today for an on-site meeting.

Coming home up the M23 there had been a nasty looking accident involving half a dozen or so vehicles - motorway down to just one lane (lane 3).

As I drew closer to the accident I saw an unmarked (and unbadged) silver E90 335 (not sure if i or d) sat on the shoulder with all its 'hidden' lights going.

Nice to see our taxes are providing the OB with a nice standard of wheels to peel about in....

yeah they all did a deal with BMW to take 530d tourings-535d saloons-335d tourings and saloons.....all up in arms till i think they saw what the deal was ...im told and i hope the article can be found was LOW ...publicity stunt etc......bit like when we get told ...NO MORE DISCOUNTS...lol

I'm often down that way too, so will keep an eye out. I came across an unmarked Skoda Octavia VRS on the Northern stretch of the M25 the other day. I was in the outside lane, and he came tanking up behind me. Thought I'd been nicked and went to move over. He just blasted past me and carried on....

An unmarked Monaco Blue E90 went past me on the M4 on Monday with its blue flashers going. There's obviously a few unmarked E90's about as I've seen a silver one too in the past...

They sure are getting harder and harder to predict, around the north west and Manchester in particular, I have seen unmarked:

Saab 93's

1x Honda Integra type R

1x Black BMW 130i

Not your average bunch of cop cars...

Gloucestershire have a nice new(ish) un-marked car.... a Sparkling Graphite E90 330d SE.

.... I wish mine had those blue lights, it'd be great for rush hour.

Yeah, lots of different unmarked cars around - our local boys have an old-shaped Vauxhaul Carlton/Omega which followed me for a while and I never suspected a thing until it pulled alongside at traffic lights and I saw the blue lights and (retracted) police stop sign in the rear window.

Always makes me think twice about putting my foot down when some car comes up fast from the rear - it could be one of these, or could just be some lunatic in a hurry. All things considered, it's best to pull over and let them go by... (sigh).

In the space of about 2 hours, I saw a black unmarked 330d SE at the scene of an accident on the M8 in Glasgow, followed by a 530d in pursuit of a motorbike on the A83 Rest and Be Thankful.

Scary.

The unmarked 335d on the M23 is run by Sussex Constabulary and is normally seen south of the Gatwick junction. It has pulled some cars on other forums.

This one likes to hang around the two Swindon junctions. I've always seen it pulling somebody around there for some bizarre reason.
