Thoughts on running spacers or getting the correct wheels from the start

I am looking to get rims for a xi e92. I am currently getting a good deal on a set of vmr rims.
Specs: 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 et. ~40's. (Seller doesn't know the exact offset)
I am looking to get an aggressive look so I will need to run spacers in the front and back. The car is currently at stock height (thinking about coils for the future) and I don't track the car as it is my daily. Should I get these rims and run spacers, or buy a new set with the correct offsets I want from the start? Thanks

It's really your call in the end, but there isn't any harm in using spacers. Many people on the forum use them without any issues.

I ran spacers with the recommended off-set VMR recommended for my car. All he has to do is look at the back of the wheel for the off-set. Pretty simple...i think it is pretty stupid and lazy for someone trying to sell wheels not to look.

I was on the same boat. My decision was to run spacers. My thought was i can run the the spacers on both my summer and winter setup to get the ideal look (flush fitment).
