I'm thinking about swapping gauge cluster from one of the 6cyl models to 320i (donor car has lower mileage). I know there will be a temper dot next to the mileage but will everything else work just fine without coding??? (cruise control ring, rpm and speedo?)

If the donor car has lower mileage I'm pretty sure you can code the cluster to your 320i's higher mileage and remove the tamper notice.

Why are you trying to install this cluster? Is there something the 320i's cluster lacks vs. the 325i's? Sorry, we never got the 320i here in the US...

Thanks buddy. 325 has the cruise control rings which i think look better. And 325 has oil temperature gauge instead of the useless instant fuel consumption

Interesting, over here only the 335i got the oil temp gauge - all other models got the MPG meter. To that end, here's a DIY on converting the MPG meter to an oil temp gauge: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1590205.

It may be possible to take apart your 320i's cluster and install the cruise control rings - someone else will have to chime in on this, though, because I've not come across an E90 State side that didn't have those rings...
