So finally took the car to the shop, seems to be that its the carrier bearing for the drive shaft. How much should it be to fix, so I have an idea and don't get screwed?

The car is fixed, drives just like the day I bought it. The problem was just the drive shaft center bearing. Only cost me $446 for the whole job, i'm so pleased, great way to start the new year..

Glad you got it fixed. Be careful.

Love the interior op, glad everything worked out.

I actually have the same exact squeal coming from my car. I brought it in and dealer said it couldn't be duplicated. My brakes are new. It is quite embarrassing, any ideas?

Garage List
Not gonna read every post, but the main idea I got. Here's what I suggest you do...

Call up your previous adjuster who dealt with the accident and the shop that fixed your car.
1. Complain that for the past few months the car hasn't been running right.

2. Have it re-inspected and make them repair everything that was missed or done incorrectly.

If the issues were apparent from the date of repair completion, then obviously it wasn't repaired properly. The insurer is responsible for these extra costs.

If they refuse, contact your local DMV, or better business bearau and complain that they've returned your car unfit to you and that it's unsafe and your concerned for your life.

This should get things moving of you have trouble with the insurer/repair shop.
