My car is a 58 plate 330d and its showing on the cic that i have 3000 miles till rear pads need replacing.
BMW want £165 to replace the pads and sensors is that a good price? If not does anyone know how much the pads and sensors are and ill get them fitted.

Worth thinking about changing your discs at the same time. I used to think you could get two sets of pads out of one set of discs, but the corrosion that builds up on the back of the discs (which you can't see) means I now always replace both pads and discs together.

Genuine pads are approximately £100. However there is a set on eBay "buy-it-now" at £35, part number 34216791938. You would have to check these are the correct ones.
I've tried others and the only ones I've found up to scratch were Brembo. Using a pad with different braking characteristics can really upset the DTC, but obviously it's up to you. Discs, again Brembo are fine IMO. |
