FS: BREMBO GT 380mm for 335i

Hi folks,

I got these badass brakes from a fellow forum member. Unfortunately they don't fit my 313 wheels by a few mm

As I don't want to get new wheels, I need to sell these to raise funds to get the 355mm BBK.

So here goes:

Brembo GT BBK for 335i (front)

380mm slotted two-piece rotors
Brake calipers (yellow)
Mounting Brackets

The discs are like new, no signs of wear as they got replaced shortly before I bought the brakes. The pads are just worn in, almost new too.

As the brakes are quite huge and heavy, I would prefer to sell to someone from Europe, maybe even local (I can get to the Nürburgring for instance).

Looking for 2199 EUR, or best offer. Retail price is 4.400 EUR.

Do you mean they won't even fit inside a 19" wheel?

They must be HUGE!

At least they don't fit inside my 19" 313 wheels Just by a few mm.

But there are even some aftermarket 18" wheels where they fit, and most 19" aftermarket wheels.

And yes, they are HUGE

What is the clearance issue? behind the spokes? Can't you run a spacer?

Or you actually mean they are too big for the inner circumference of a 19" alloy?? That is insane!

With a spacer they are fine behind the spokes, but the OEM wheels are too "thick" in the inner circumference. It really depends on the wheels.

You're talking about OEM disc sizes. Trust me, the stock brakes look like Playmobil compared to the Brembos

Shame because they are a million times better than what you are going to fit which coincidentally are not as good as your standard set-up.

The 355mm Brembos will still be way better than the stock setup:

Two-piece rotors (larger and still lighter in weight), no "floating caliper" design, six pistons, overall better build quality.

The stock brakes are fine on the street, but pretty useless for track use.

No problem. The Performance BBK is indeed no improvement over the stock 335i setup. Too bad BMW don't offer a decent upgrade for our cars.

Yes I was talking OEM sizes. Are the Brembo callipers sufficiently thinner to account for the m being nearly 20mm further outward

Not sure if I understood the question correctly. In fact the Brembo Calibers are thicker than OEM calipers. So depending on your wheels you might have to use spacers to get clearance with the inner side of the spokes.

The M3 uses wheels with a different offset to get a wider track. Using spacers basically achieves the same goal.

The supension components of the M3 and non-M are very similar from the geometry, with the M components being higher quality, made of aluminium vs steel, and with firmer bushings.

Yes sorry didn't ask the question very well.

If the brembo discs are +40mm over the 335i so + 20mm on radius and the Brembo calipers are thicker. I was asking how could they fit within a 335 wheel?

That's the problem

Although the problem is not 335i specific. The factory M3 wheels, which "standard" are also 19" just like my 313 Performance wheels, just happen to offer a bit more clearance inside.

So fitment really depends on the wheels. I could get aftermarket rims to accomodate the 380mm BBK, but:

1) the 313 wheels are just über-secks
2) new wheels = even more ££££

So selling the 380mm kit and sourcing the 355mm kit as a replacement seems like the better solution.

Won't they fit with some clearance mods from a disc cutter?
