Remap quote

Got quoted £330+vat to have my 330d msport remapped today. apparently it should give somwhere in the region of an extra 35 horses and another 80 newton metres of torque. Does this sound like a good price and are the figures about right? Car is an LCI if that matters. Cheers, Andy.

My local indy called sportstech. From what I gather they buy the map from another company but don't know who.

I would try and find out. There are a few on various forums who are well recommended. Evolve on this forum. And if you look on bmwland there is another called emaps.
There are or course lots of others too. But these two spring to mind.

Sounds cheap for an LCI. Do they realise its an ECU out job? I understand it takes a lot longer than a pre-LCI 330d remap and hence other re-mappers normally charge a bit more for this.
Also, from what I've read of other remapped 330d's, you should be getting around 290-295bhp so a 45-50bhp increase.

Have a read of this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=341952

Edit: after reading that other thread, its the same price with the VAT as P Torque, although their price was nearly 3 years ago.

Have a word with Simon @E-Maps,I'm sure he'd be looking at +45-50bhp & 100nm torque for around the £'s you mentioned.

Simon is arguably the best mapper out there, imo

Would expect to see just over 300bhp with the lci. My Friend on here gets circa 300 out of his. I wouldn't waste your money on a low power map. Speak to imran at evolve my 335d went from 286 to 350. I believe there maps are 299 and a very very good rep

Those prices sound pretty awesome considering the gains.
Makes me wish I had gone a d :P

Had quote for £1400 to have my 325i mapped to a 330i. (Price included replacement 3-stage manifold)
