AP Racing Brake Pads

Hi Guys,

Any idea where I might be able to purchase some brake pads for my AP Racing 6 pot? Looking to get some Ferodo pads.

Cheers
J

Yes. Call Birds Garages on 01753 657444. They are AP Racing distributors, and have the Ferodo DS2500 fast road pads in stock pretty much all the time.

Alternatively, you can also get Pagid 422 road pads, which are even better, with higher levels of initial bite, and greater fade resistance.

Incidentally, you should post up in the UK section if you have further questions, as many of the UK-centric posters don't often look in the US part.

He has AP Racing 6pots, same as me. Pad availability here in the UK is different to that of the States - Ferodo and Pagid are the two most recognised performance brands, and offer a wide range for different applications (OEM replacement, fast road, endurance, high temp tracks etc etc)

The AP Caliper model is CP5575

The AP pad reference for that caliper is CP5070D54, and the standard supplied pads in the kit are Ferodo DS2500.

Pagid do make pads in the 5070D54 pattern, but they are not listed on the Pagid USA website. However, if you contact Competition Brake Products in the UK (www.racepads.co.uk) they have the Pagid pads in stock for this particular AP caliper. The pads they have are the 4-2-1 Black, 4-2 Blue, and RS19 & RS29 Yellow. (NOTE - the Yellow pads aren't really suitable for regular road use, due to the considerable pad noise and lower cold biting)

Cool.
Have you thought about using the yellowstuff pads made by EBC?
It looks like you are using the same pad as me except that mine are D51 instead of D54.
I ordered the DP4005R pads and they are completely awesome!
IMO, it's the perfect pad for both the track and the street.

Depending on the thickness of the pads that are allowed with your rotors, the pad that you would need is the DP4006R (18mm thick) or DP4009R (25mm thick).

Actually I bought mine from Autobahn Exotics and mine came with Mintex Extreme pads. Do all AP Racing 6 pot kits for the E92 have the same caliper model number? I wrote to Autobahn Exotics. Hope to get a response from them soon

Yes, AP only make one caliper for the E92, and that's the CP5575
