If only it was that easy, Last weekend my wife said for Christmas I would like a sack full of presents this high and would like one for each year so 49 ! and quality not shit .

I was telling my friends 21 yr old daughter who said that is only proper and so you should and your wife doesnt look more than 40 so I thought that could save me some money say id forgot and get it down to 40 presents, I then thought I have only been with you for 22 years so thats all I'm buying 22, I went in to town yesterday and came back £650 worse off and tbh , I think its a rip off because I have bought perfume ,boots, earrings, and cant see much else.

Id have much rather bought her a new tv lol.

Christmas is a total stitch up , I have asked for her to donate my money as a gift to Battersea Dogs Home or the RSPCA.

bad luck guys, my missus says its all a waste of money and i'm not allowed to get her anything, really, nothing, not a jot, same for 10 years.... ( no, not a pretend "i don't want anything" then you're in trouble if you do indeed buy nothing)

her theory is we can have something we really want, some other time of year, rather than some tat just because its christmas.

it does make it a lot less stressful though. bought a few good cases of booze to share instead...

I normally get away that easy , but this year for some reason it is like a challenge , Funny thing is I bet she takes most off it back and I will get told you dont know me at all blahblah, Still I bet next year it will be back to normal lol.

lol we set a budget for ourself each year this year £50 as we tend to get carried way. Always stick to useful things or good gifts like novels for my collection etc. Though once again this year went past threshold at least only up to double it only.

Your generosity knows no bounds AP , she'll need three times that just to park the car!
