Dust it off?
Pardon the ignorance but I am still giddy about owning a 2011 335I, 30 days now. Never had a black car, wife always gets new and I drive beaters. Really treated myself, I get a car every ten years or so.
I haven't even taken off traction control yet. Did a great job washing, waxing and drying (thanks to this forum) but between washes what is the best way to get the dust off? Dust from driving, sitting in the garage etc. Garaged, Sahpire Black paint that is near perfect and I don't want to screw it up. Thanks very much, Tim |

California car duster is what I use! But be careful, it's only good if the dust is light and not much, if the car is really dirty then you must wash with 2 bucket method.

Optimum No Rinse is a great way to wash a car that is just dusty in a very short amount of time. I would avoid California car dusters or QD wipedowns as your paint is relatively soft.

i own a bsm bmw... basically if you look at the paint the wrong way, it will make light scratches... there is nothing you can do to prevent micro scratches but never wipe it without a lubricant ever... on the plus side, you can easily polish out these micro scratches when needed

as far as dusters go, i started to use the hand held swiffer dusters you can get from target or walmart. apply NO pressure and just in a sweeping motion take off the dust. after all the big dust particles and what not are off, THEN take your microfiber towel and QDetailer and take off stubborn spots.
congrats on your new ride!!! also look into chemical guys blacklight |

My car is garaged. Sits majority of the week. I use this California duster between washes/waxes when a layer of dust collects. I lightly dust than use poorboy’s world spray & wipe... works for me.
