Every now and then when I start my car I get the bulb failure warning light. Then I'll start it again later that same day without doing anything and the warning light is gone. I've taken it to the dealer twice. Both times they claimed to have found faulty bulbs. I call BS. It has to be some electrical gremlin that they are unaware of or trying not to address. Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks for your help.

You're not alone. I get the same thing with my brake lights. When my headlights are off, no bulb error. When headlights are on AND pressing brakes, I get bulb errors. I've changed out the bulbs and still did it. Now, haven't done anything in a week and I'm not getting any errors. Not sure if it's bad bulbs or bad wiring.

does the warning say what bulb? ie. left rear turn signal or front right cornering light? If the warning comes and goes there is a shorts/ fault where the bulb in question does not always go out or faulty electrical on the inside. search my posts. Had a similiar situation.

happened to me a couple times. Replaced my bulbs and hasn't happened in a while

dealer already replaced socket/bulb at 20k miles..

same problems. at 80k miles, rear light bulb warning came out again. at around 88k miles, all the warnings went away. I never touched or replaced the bulb.

go figure.

don't replace it until the bulb is REALLY out. like DEAD. no light.

I had the same problem yesterday. The bulb out light came on (it didn't say what bulb was out so I assumed it was my LED angle eyes I had recently installed) so I turned the lights on and off and the error went away.
