stretched tyres help...advice....

i no there are many people that dont like this look but i am running a little bit of stretch due to putting my original tyres onto my new wider wheels which are 8.5j front and 9.5j rear. so at the moment im running 225/35/19 on the front and 255/30/19 on the rear. it gives a little stretch look which i like.

i need new front and am not sure wether to try 215 and have more stretch and do the same on the rear.

has anyone done this and has any pics to show me, and will this make the handling of my car a lot worse?

im thinking about stretching them more so i can lower the car more and space the wheels out a lot more....

Any ideas??? pics please

thanks

You don't need that much of a stretch dude especially with those weak wheel specs. Even when spaced out you have lots of room and clearance with what you have how. Just add a little negative camber

No offense on the "weak specs" talk that's just how I describe small wheels in all seriousness.

With the 215 you will get more clearance and cause the wheels are small its not that much of a stretch. To much it doesn't get the best look IMO cause to much rim and not enough tire. The poke just isn't as nice and noticeable IMO. But that's personal preference.

Post pics would be better

No you could have a minor stretch or a aggressive stretch. Like I said I personally like a minor stretch gives a better look with the poke IMO( again personal preference). On my 10 I have a 245/35 nice look and stretch and on my 12 I run a 285/30 pretty even look all around

Do 215/35 and 235/35. That's the setup I'm going to use on my 19x9 and 19x10.

You need to keep in mind, 215 is a lot less tire in the front. Less contact patch, worse handling, less stability, less tire for breaking.

Stretching a tire for a purpose with the right wheel is one thing, but on a stock like wheel it just looks like you made a boo boo.

yeh have a on off or really different rim it can suit it but with more standard rims it mite look wrong. but with a little stretch would you think it would look ok? say 215 on a 8.5 and 235 on a 9.5??

Project335i has a e90 and trimmed fenders and a slammed ride lol, thats how he fits those wheels. I hear e90's are easier to get the stanced look than a e92, but their both possible for sure. I'm getting: 19x9.5 et22 and 19x11 et25 soon with 235/35 and 265/30 tires, as well as a fender trim and some BC Coilovers

I also think you should just keep the 235 in the front, I was going to put a 19x10 in the front, but it will compromise the handling and traction of your ride.

what would be considered "strong wheel specs" ?

I'm planning on 19 x 8.5 ET18 rims on the front this summer.

Think 225's will be safe enough? I'm dropped on H&R Sport Springs + SP Lowering Perches.

I'm lowered 1.8" in the front over stock suspension. I'm running my stock rims for the winter tires I have right now. 16x7's with 215's on them and I mean they already tuck.

I have slight negative camber already.

I consider this a minor stretch and perfect for what I like. I have friends running 215/35 on a 10" which is to much and I really don't like the look near as much. To fit these wheels isn't pretty but with the right camber clearance and you cut instead of rolling the fenders you are good but don't let people fool you with a set up like this you will rub either way.

fair enough i wont have as much stretch as you. do you find the handling ok? or do u not drive it quick due to your stance??

i dont really want rubbing tbh

Don't get it wrong dude e90 can fit wider rims easier yes but it's not easy to fit specs like mine especially on a e90 LCI which 12s haven't ever been done before. Your specs as I helped you are aggressive for the e92 but not that bad and no where near as aggressive as mine are to a e90 just as a comparison to help OP understand it at the moment.
