On 8-2-06 my 335i has been released to a carrier and is awaiting transport to the port of exit.

Think I'll have it delivered by the end of the month?

My dealer thinks I may have the car by the end of August. I told him about the official September 25 release date, and he is checking to see if there will be a delay. He hasn't heard of one however, so it is possible that I'll be driving this car before September 1.

Today the message changed to "Your vehicle is being trabnsported to the port of exit", while yesterday it said "Your cehicle has been released to a carrier and is waiting transportation to the port of exit" or something like that.

So, im on a ship then right?

edit: i believe i am either on the don juan or the patriot....but i could be completely wrong.

Do a VIN search at the W&W site. I don't think it means you are on a ship yet, but if you aren't, you should just be days away. The prior message meant your car was waiting to be delivered to Bremerhaven. The new message means your car has been delivered to Bremerhaven and are now waiting to board a ship.

The Don Juan and the Patriot both leave tomorrow. Will the vehicle be dropped of in NY?
I assume that the voice at BMWNA will say "in transit to port of entry" or something like that?

I agree, i think im waiting in bremehaven for a ship.

This morning i have "You vehicle is at the port of exit awaiting a shipping vessel, no shipping information is availible at this time"

So NOW i guess im waiting for a ship, i hope you didnt leave without me Mr. Silver.

Mine's at status 193 -- Arrival at port or compound. The phone system still says "en route to port of exit." Hope it gets on a ship soon!

Checked, this morning, still at port waiting for shipping vessell. Guess we missed the 2 boats on the 8th, i think there is 1 on the 10th, hopefully we will get on that.

That has been the recording for a few days for me as well! I assume that means I'm not on a boat yet.

How do you track the ship once it sails? I have the W&W website and have found the "Auto Cargo" link. Do you use the VIN number? Do you use the whole VIN, or just part of it?

IDK what part of the vin to use, but the whole VIN number seems to fit inside the box quite nicely, but untill the cars actually ship, it doesnt really matter.

I hope we get onto the boat leaving on the 10th b/c the one on the 12th is taking 18 days!!!!!! which means that if you get the boat leaving on the 13th/14th, your car will actually arrive sooner.

My salesman just e-mailed me that my car left Bremerhaven on August 7 and is expected at the port in Charleston on August 26.

He didn't mention which ship it is on. Can you help direct me as to how I can check online?

*edit* I did a little stumbling around at the WW website and believe my car is on the Patriot.

However, when I enter my VIN in the auto cargo tracking box I get "No tracking information is available for the Cargo ID you entered." I've tried partial VIN's (like the last 7 characters) but no luck. Any ideas?
