Changing headlight beam back to uk from europe?

I have returned from europe after changing the passenger side beam height. I am now trying to put it back to normal so that the beam lights the pavement. I have the e92 xenons that can be changed.

Droppin the beam was easy enough. But putting it back is the issue. I have pushed the white plastic leaver down but the beam is completely flat with night driving.

Does the lever need to "click" into the lower position as it does in the higher position? I have used some force to the point where i think anymore may do damaged.
