Winter Setup: Rial Salerno + Dunlop M3 Winter Sport DSST

Finally found a winter setup I like. I originally had the tires on 17x7 Sport Edition E1. (left over from my previous car) They looked fine in person from a dead on angle but front end shot shows how far inside the fender the offset puts everything. Using the offset calculator on here the rear was retracted 35mm and the front was retracted 32mm.

Decided to go with the 17x8 Rial Salerno and the offset is MUCH better the BMW center caps give an OEM look. Front is extended 4mm and rear is extended 1mm

Thanks to Gary@TireRack for the order.

Just got the same setup myself, very happy with it, I also put in the bmw caps on even though, tirerack told me they were slightly different size. I think they fit fine.

I use exactly the same setup for my E93. I covered up my lug bolts with SAAB black plastic caps sold by State of Nine and it looks much better than leaving the cheap looking zinc plated lug bolts naked.

+1 on the wheels on my e93 Sport, but I went with Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance based on reviews. I did sacrifice RFT, but then many do for other reasons.

I'm looking at Tirerack and I don't see the Dunlop M3 DSSTs as an option for the Rial Salernos 17X8 wheel. Do you have to do special order?

Just saw the sticky. Looks like the DSSTs are no longer available in a 17inch size.

Either the 17 DSST's are sold out for the season, or the entire M3 line is being phased out to be replaced by 3D ROF.

Not available this season. For runflat snow tires in 225/45R17 you'll need to use the Blizzak LM22RFT.

Gary,

How would the LM22RFTs compare against a non run flat like the Wintersport 3D?

They come with a removal tool, looks like a small pair of tweezers. Putting on requires only a nice push using something like the end of a screwdriver handle.
