It's better than regular price, but it's usually been down to $30-$32.

I see. That's only $3-$5 less than the current price. For people looking to do a Spring oil change, a couple bucks wouldn't be reason enough to pass up on a dramatic savings as it is...

Yeah for sure, the regular price is ridiculous. My local Costco has Edge Synthec for $30.50, that's the regular price. They don't have it in 5w40 though, IRC they have 5w30 and 5w20 which I don't believe are LL-01 rated.

Good find. Thanks!

I usually use the 5w-40. What oil filter do you guys usually use? Last oil change I did i ended up buying the MANN oil filter.

I've been using OEM. But I believe they also have MANN markings on them too.

The Mann filter is the same as OEM. Save a few bucks.

Garage List
Motomaster Formula 1 synthetic 5w40 is also a good alternative. It meets API SN/CF and ACEA A3/B4 and is approved for MB 229.3, VW 502/505 and Porsche A40. I use this on my E90, MB and Volvo.

There's also the new Euro varieties (0w30, 5w30, 0w40) which meet API SN and are "suitable for" BMW LL01, MB 229.3/229.5, and VW 502/505. A bit strange how a Euro oil has no ACEA spec though, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this on a sensible interval.
