Hi All

I am having a misfire on cylinder 6 so i went to swap the coils and it looks like the cylinder 6 coil boot has broken off and is still stuck around the top of the spark plug.

A long thin flathead to separate it from the head followed by a long nose pair of pliers and patience should suffice. Maybe a bit of good 'ol wd40 or pb blaster to keep it loosey goosey.

Garage List
I looped some wire around the injector and pulled up on it.

Also, make sure you remove the entire plastic shroud surrounding to be able to gain access to the injector. It makes it 200x easier to access.

Patience is the key. I stabbed it out with a bbq skewer and some steady torque.

That shit is annoying. Happened to me. Luckily I was at my mechanic when that happened so he fashioned up a pick tool made from a grinded down long flat head screwdriver with a 90 degree angled bent tip. Worked like a charm. Used compressed air to blast out the rest of the debris.

a pick or a pair of long nose pliers will easily do it. it just happened to me yesterday. stupid oem coils. get autozone with lifetime warranty. they work just as good and you never have to buy them again.
