Labor Day Detailing

Labor Day turned into "Labor On My Car Day" - Wash, Vacuum, Clay, Scratch-X, Polish, Wax, Polish Headlights and Fog lights. Took some pictures to remember the car when it was this clean:

I used an orbital to put each down, but removed each by hand.

Nope. South of Elliott, between Higley and Recker.

How did you like the ScratchX ? I used it on our X5 recently, it certainly did not hurt, but I did not think it was anything more than a polish. I worked on some light scratches with it ( by hand), and I did not see much improvement. I did polish the whole X5 ( not the roof, I had clayed that 2 weeks ago), it's alot of work !!! What do you think of the ScratcX ???
And your car looks GREAT !!!

You can only do so much correction by hand. A DA polisher is a worthwhile investment.

Thanks for the compliment. I've used Scratch-X off and on for a few years. You're right that it's really only good for light scratches. Spot touch-up, especially near door handles, that kind of thing. Works pretty well for those things, IMO, but it's not for heavy items.

By no means am I an expert. I've got some items on this car that really need a professional's touch, but I can handle about 90% of the stuff that hits the paint.

Took a couple of the 10mm Macht Schnell spacers from my M5 and had them put on the rear wheels of the 335. I went back to the same spot that I took pictures last week to try to get some similar shots for before and after comparisons.
