I have a fair selection of performance mods on my 335d and TBH it is a bit of a beast now. I had just below stock power before any mods were done and ended up with 380BHP and 600 torque. The biggest improvment to making it exciting to drive was actually the sprint booster. The drive is so much more "spirited" the only thing to note is you can't drive it around town with the gearbox in sport mod...it's far to lively !! Having the remap done again after the Wagner FMIC, exhaust and ITG Air filter was worth it to as it sharpened everything up a bit

Hello guys.
I am from Greece and i have a 640d F13, the same (biturbo) engine as F30 335d xdrive.

Since some of you asked about water methanol injection... I installed an AEM kit with a 500cc/min injector nozzle. I used the MAF sensor to get a signal and drive the pump (MAF has a frequency signal, and the AEM controller can read it).
I performed a dyno with the car being stock (except from Supersprint exhaust), and with the DPF in place!
Of note, since i could not find methanol in Greece at the time, i used a 40% bioethanol/60% water mixture.
Stock car-no water-ethanol: 299hp (crank)
Stock car-with water-ethanol: 330hp (crank).

After remap i got up to 383hp (crank), but the intake air temperature was up to 109oC (very hot day, largely inefficient intercooler). Of note, the injector is (unfortunately) installed AFTER the air temp sensor, so i could not see the effect of water-ethanol injection on the intake temps. In any case, i think the intercooler needs to be changed as soon as possible. I know that Wagner tuning has developed an intercooler for 535d F10. Although the stock intercooler is the same as in the 6-series, Wagner tuning could not verify if their intercooler would fit my car (difficult to risk buying it, it costs 900 euros here).

I have now enlarged the injector nozzle (using a dremel, unfortunately AEM has a 1000cc/min nozzle only as an upgrade, which i think is too much). My next steps are to change the position of the nozzle and change the intercooler. Subsequently, i need to find someone to re-manufacture the large turbo. My goal is about 440 hp, but i cannot find anyone who has done a modification on this turbo (i have seen some upgrades but from 5-series E60 and i think the turbochargers are not the same).

As far as I've understood, there are mods that clearly improve performance:

- remap/piggy back (or even remap + piggy back)
- DPF delete + remap
- upgraded turbos (can't find any information on reliability though)
- meth

And there are mods which help maintaining performance under certain conditions:

- upgraded intercooler (especially in hot climates)
- LSD (helps with putting power down to the ground)

I really haven't been able to get any consistent information on anything else. I saw that someone mentioned scoops at some point, but there is no data to backup whether or not they affect performance, and I've seen some good arguments at to why it shouldn't affect performance on a turbo engine. So no matter how inexpensive they are, I wouldn't list it as enhancing/not decreasing performance until someone actually properly tests it (and I mean figures, not feelings ).

I've been looking on different forums, but information is hard to come by, or at least harder than for N54/N55 engines. If someone has any interesting links to share, I would appreciate it

Do you have any information or help regarding the dpf delete. I was thinking of doing a dpf delete and a remap on my 335d but I have no clue where to start. Also I would like to know if anyone knows information on upgraded turbos.
