+1. Why doesn't everyone here just join this group? Having too many BMW groups might lead to one or more of them eventually fading out, trying to keep up with them all. We have the e90 forum here. At least the FB group is a collective group (not singling out any models).

At last glance, they were talking about trying to get together a BMW meet every 3rd Saturday at North Hills, since CnC has moved to Cary. Just my $.02.

+1 on minimizing the number of groups. It's hard enough tracking local events on all of the BMW forums, without adding more complexity into the mix.

What have you done now?! Can't think of any. I have the coverage in my extended warranty, but I would have to take mine to the stealership. Tried a plunger? .....just sayin....

I just recently acquired a dent in my hood so if you find a good shop that doesnt rip you off let me know.

On another note, does anyone have any good paint shop recommendations? I am about to order an OEM Mtech bumper that needs to be painted still.

New to this site, and new to the M3. Just got home from Florida from picking mine up today. Stationed at Fort Bragg, and a former Evo guy. Had a 350whp EVO 8 years ago, traded for a EVO 9 (was 475whp) and then today traded for the M3. It's a 2009 Jet Black with Dinan exhaust, pulley, X-pipe, intake, tune and some CF goodies. Who else is from the Bragg/Fayettenam area?

Oh, and I'm not sure but I think the exhaust that came with it is catless, and in NC we obviously have emissions testing...(it was a FL car before and they don't have testing). Any tips on passing emissions with a catless exhaust in this area? I searched and found a DP fix but it seemed like some sort of wiring harness?

Coming from the CT9A/4G63 platform which is knew a lot about...going to the E92/S65 platform which I know nothing about...in which I'm starting to read right NOW! Thanks guys!

Nice! Was wondering if there was a decent car scene around here (besides riced out hondas) lol. I saw a few 335's on post and a few 5/6 series. Not a lot of M's though. How are the local emissions testers...? They let you slide w/o cats? In GA there was no emissions.....

What tune do you have? And, did it come w/the car or did you install it after purchasing the car?

Dinan tune i believe. Theres no CEL so i assume that id pass as long as they dont lift the car up? I bought it like that from FL where there are no emissions. I love the way it sounds so i dont want to put the oem exhaust on....not to mention id have to buy one first lol.

I was stationed in GA for 3 years previously with the evo and never had to worry about testing.

I have no knowledge of what Dinan tunes offer in regards to a DPfix, but I can say that when I removed my JB3 for an upgrade, my SES light came on throwing a cat code w/in 2 days of removing it. The day after I installed the upgrade (JB4), the light went away. The tune has a built-in DPfix but I also have a wired-in fix. All of this is to say that either 1) you have a DPfix w/the Dinan tune or 2) you don't have catless dps, but maybe aftermarket catted dps. In NC, they typically do not do visual checks underneath. Even if they did, they wouldn't check the dps. They'd have to remove the bottom cover and that's just too much work for an inspection. lol
