£5M for a classic car?????

Obviously subject to me being filthy rich, there is no way I would ever consider paying £5M for an old supercar.

Unless it's an investment, I just do not see the appeal. I would always prefer to own the latest Ferrari etc with all the technological advancement etc.

This "old banger" will be a dog to drive in comparrison to a modern day supercar.......I don't and never will "get it"

Am I alone on this one?

1. Because it's an extraordinarily beautiful car

2. Because it WILL appreciate in value. The article quotes Evans as saying that he wouldn't be able to afford to buy the car in the future because it's value will grow.

1. Beauty is down to personal taste - old classics ain't my cup of tea I'm afraid.
2. Appreciation - this was my only caviat, an investment - see previous.
