I can't beleive you've got such a downer on your car Matt, it does look awesome mate. OK, I appreciate that you've seen it up-close, and there are a few tweaks still to be made yet, but overall you've got a great looking motor.

What is it about the suspension that you're struggling with. I know I don't know much about suspension but exactly what is it you're craving???

Hmm, I tried to explain this at the meet the other day...

The rear diffuser aside - that WILL be sorted in the near future and will look the bollocks.

I am also going to colour code the grilles (I think the CF, black of the paint and black of the grille being all different look a little odd) respray the bonnet and have it protected by paintshield which will help the front end looks.

On the suspension and handling... right - well the car (for me) has one of the best and most usable engines I have ever known - the linear but massive delivery of power in 3rd/4th between say 50 and 100 is incredible and should make the car supercar (ar at least top end sportscar) fast through fast A and B roads.

This it does do well, put the handling aside for a moment and concentrate on the point and shoot power and its incredibly fast. However, at higher speeds I find the car makes me nervous under braking, fast cornering and in all conditions over uneven surfaces.

It's clear to me I need to do the following -

ARBS, LSD, Bushes - all at once for savings and to maximise the complementary nature of each.

Suspension (secret Bilstein kit) and lose the RFT's at the same time. Suspension should improve the increase in roll from changing tyres, and the kit should help to combat the cars crashy and jumpy nature over our roads - as will the new tyres...

All in all - nearing on 10k.... fine if I am keeping it... but a big risk if I dont like it or it doesnt improve the situation!!

I really like it Matt, looks smart and a job well done.

I can understand your hesitation on putting another 10k into it... When this could go on something else...

My vote goes with a E92 M3 then drop it off at Evolve for a Supercharger, BBK and a zorst..

You want to swap cars Matt?

Mines nice and slow so everyone can admire it more - and already has the colour coded grilles, and non-rfts you want

I'm happy with the suspension so swap cars before you change the 335d suspension

Only thing I'm not sure about it the quad exhausts - don't quite "fit."

Trouble with modding (not that I've ever done it apart from ICE) - the quest for "perfection" is impossible.

I wonder if Veyron owners think - hmmm, that chrome needs to be black...?!!

Matt, be careful with the brake solution. I spent a lot of money on a piece of crap (partially) upgrade. Now I have to spend the same amount just to get them working as stock....

Thing is simple:
1. If you want the best go with Ap Racing
2. If you want to spend less and and add a little something to your stock brakes, change the brake lines, pads and fluid and you'll be more the fine

Solution is simple:
1. If you want the best go with AP Racing
2. Spend less & go BMW performance for money /balance solution which gives a noticeable improvement
3. If you want to spend even less and and add a little something to your stock brakes, change the brake lines, pads and fluid and have waste of time & money !

I've used /had all 3 on my E46 's & E92 & I can say from experience
AP is by far the best solution for road & track ! unless you have a large budget to blow on a full blown Brembo OEM solution
