I'm actually surprised he was able to sell some of his homemade, modified manifolds( they're not headers) to members here sight unseen and without any substantial data of any kind.

They sure let him run a long time before pulling the plug in that case. I'm guessing it was something else.

That's what happens when you have money hungry asshole mods that provide no support whatsoever when it comes to help but will gladly take your money. Luxangeleyes couldn't even contact them and they are one of the biggest vendors on here

yup, banned because of selling the headers without being a vendor. apparently he got the axe without any discussion or notification.

His headers did have data. Stupid mods decided to remove that helpful thread as well.

I recall more than a couple members jumping on board before anything was presented. Dynos came after a list of buyers was started.

the frequent banning only applies to vendor situations. it's not cheap to host a web forum with thousands of members, so their terms of service say that if you want to sell product, you have to pay a vendor fee. when you sign up for the forum, you have to agree to their ToS. if you break the ToS, you risk getting banned.

It happened to someone else who was selling stuff in this forum a while back too. But he came back a couple weeks later with a legit vendor account. If you want to sell on the forum outside of the classifieds section, you have to pay a fee, just like everyone else.

it's also very possible that another paying vendor reported him for selling headers without a vendor status. It's not so much a matter of being "ban happy" it's business, and you need to be consistent with your ToS, otherwise you risk losing all of your paying customers.

I don't know about the technicalities, I just notice that members would suddenly become banned! members that have been on for years and have been pretty helpful or at least nice.

as for the whole vendor issue I mean I totally understand that, if I was running the forum I would react the same way
