I'd say you could be ready for a Leatherique application whenever you are ready. On newer leather I still try to go through the complete process (Rejuvenator Oil & Prestine Clean) once a year, and as it ages, I try to apply it twice a year equally spaced apart (Spring & Fall usually for me). I usually recommend Prestine Clean 2 - 4 times a year to maintain a soft and supple feel year round.

i looked into leatherique on some other boards, and the consensus seems to be that the rejuvenator oil isnt really useful for coated leather. Im not saying that it isnt, thats just what ive read.

Any idea wheather the Dakota leather in e9x is coated or not?

It is not coated, (surface dyed) it is vat dyed.
