Alarm help

i did research on my 2007 328 and the car came installed with "alarm pre wiring" i found a cable in my trunk on the left side that is hanging and looks like it could be plugged.

does anyone know any more info on this like do i just plug a siren into that connector ?

You don't just plug a siren in. The alarm has a horn/tilt sensor that plugs into the wheel well, an ultrasonic sensor that goes near the domelight, a hood pin, and recoding to enable. All BMW parts.

yea i just found DIY lol but i still have sometype of wiring in the trunk that looks like it can be connected to something on th CD side

At the risk of sounding like an irritated, tired, cranky pants - what's your point? Our cars have a lot of plugs that are unused.

There is no component of the alarm system that mounts in the trunk - that wiring harness is for some other option.

As stated before above there is a wire harness in the DS wheel well for the tilt/siren module, one in the overhead dome light for the US module, and one under the hood on DS cowl for the hood switch -that's it...

went to bmw already its for bluetooth the wire in the trunk
