Alarm help
i did research on my 2007 328 and the car came installed with "alarm pre wiring" i found a cable in my trunk on the left side that is hanging and looks like it could be plugged.
does anyone know any more info on this like do i just plug a siren into that connector ? |

You don't just plug a siren in. The alarm has a horn/tilt sensor that plugs into the wheel well, an ultrasonic sensor that goes near the domelight, a hood pin, and recoding to enable. All BMW parts.

At the risk of sounding like an irritated, tired, cranky pants - what's your point? Our cars have a lot of plugs that are unused.

There is no component of the alarm system that mounts in the trunk - that wiring harness is for some other option.
As stated before above there is a wire harness in the DS wheel well for the tilt/siren module, one in the overhead dome light for the US module, and one under the hood on DS cowl for the hood switch -that's it...
