I would jsut give them a copy of the manual from AoshichanX's post, and tell them I don't expect it to take them long given they now have BMW's instructions... LOL...

Sorry I invested a lot of time in the project so I guess I got emotional when I read that.

Kbuys must have had a pretty cool dealership. I can gauarantee you that you will not get that price (in socal at least) without some form of a hookup.

All comes down to your relationship with your SA. Tischer also insisted that the FZD was not necessary. People in Marlyand who want this retrofit have it made; they can just go to Tischer for programming. All they have to purchase is the TCU unit and maybe the microphone.

Since you just purchased your vehicle I would use your existing relationship with your CA to cut a deal for the retrofit immediately upon delivery.

True, I am sure it is less expensive here in Oklahoma than in SoCal. Guess I got lucky or the SA liked me? Well, just wanted to thank AoshichanX for all of the research and the guide. It saved me alot of money and time.

Any chance you could elaborate on what you did, perhaps in the form of a detailed DIY?

I noticed in this attachment that it says that customer has to pay for programming unless the car needs to be updated for another reason. What other reasons would the car need to be programmed? Trying ot think if there is a way to save some money here....

I would guess if you were due for an update as well, then they could do the programming for the bluetooth at the same time, and save you money (as in not charge you for the bluetooth stuff since they have to hook it up to the computer anyway).
