Best wax/sealant I can put on my rims, help keeping Tails clean?

The winters will be coming off in a few weeks and the summers going back on (Style 230's ), and I want to get them nice and clean and then sealed well to keep brake dust most importantly from sticking on there easily. I want to be able to wash it right off in the car wash.

Also, is there an easy way to prevent soot build up on the chrome tail pipes besides keeping my foot out of it? Thats not a good option. But yea, not sure on that.

Thanks again!

Poor boys wheel sealant works well. I use it on the chrome tail pipes as well.

You can't keep the tail pipes clean. But you can clean them weekly. Use Mother's Chrome Polish and #0000 steel wool, or Nevr-Dull. Both work great.

if you plan on using Zaino on your car...you can also use it on your wheels and windshield.

Use PB Wheel Sealant is the great for wheels. Heres a little secret, once you get the exhaust clean using BKs suggestions, use the pb wheel sealant on the exhaust. it doesnt work as well as it does on wheels because of the heat but trust me its better than nothing.

DP wheel glaze works great too and costs less. PB spray and rinse is awesome too but, takes off the sealant.

you're going to want to completely decontaminate them. get the free of any brake dust on there now. Apply 3 coats of a sealant, one each day. then apply a wax coating monthly with bi weekly deep cleaning with something like chemical guys diablo wheel gel and various brushes. the off weeks you should be able to just wash with ease!

whatever you do, just dont let it build up!

3 coats of sealant is beyond excessive and wasteful. To the OP: if you want to prevent brake dust buildup, buy Axxis Deluxe Advanced brake pads:

http://www.zeckhausen.com/axxis_pads.htm

I have them on my M3 and I can get away without washing my wheels for months without having the wheels turn black. The brake pads BMW uses produce an immense amount of dust, and no amount of sealant will provide the results you're looking for. The only proactive solution is different pads. And don't worry about performance degradation; there's virtually no difference in stopping power between stock and the Axxis pads.

Thats the next step when I get pads. No need to spend the money on pads since Im under warranty for quite some time.

Ordered up the PB's and some wheel gel cleaner from DI! Thanks guys!! Now I just need some warm days and motivation to get the rims out and clean em well!!
