Exclamation Horizon LEDs - Failure to fulfil order

So this time it's all about Horizon LEDs!

I ordered an interior LED lighting kit and some CREE 40w Angel Eyes on 5th August. The interior bulbs turned up this week with a note saying the Angel Eyes are 'to follow'.

My problem is that Horizon have so far failed to return any emails, have not given me any time frame for the rest of the order to arrive and are still displaying the Angel Eyes as 'in stock'.

I am almost about to pull the plug and do a chargeback on the failed order, but I need to find out where else I can order these bulbs from. I'm also giving Horizon a few more business days to see if they can magically make these bulbs arrive.

Has anyone got CREE bulbs from anywhere else?

Thanks!

I had the same experience with Horizon and my thread is on here somewhere. I was forever awaiting my LED interior lights. They refunded my postage costs as an apology. Responses to e-mails were typically 5-6 days at a time and once 13 days. I was about to pull the trigger on a refund and then they arrived. Cannot fault the final fit and finish. Happy with the product performance and packaging upon arrival. There is no guide for which bulb goes where but there are some great guides on these forums. As I installed the first few I began to work out for myself which one would go where.

For the Angel Eyes. You could try LUX? If your budget is flexible then consider NEM- never enough mods.

I've used them about 4 times. On the last sale which wasn't clear that I needed additional resistors, I cancelled but it took weeks for me to get a reply and get refunded. Did get my money but you shouldn't have to deal with headaches like this.
There's loads on ebay etc...

A small update:

"Good Morning Anthony,

Thank you for the email. We have sent you an update about this order (via automated message) but it seems this may have been commonly blocked by spam filters, please accept our apologies.

The x2 outstanding Angel Eyes have not been shipped due to a recall on them - as a large batch had known flickering issues. We are due to get a new batch of these into is towards the end of this month. We would much rather not send you these out as it would only cause problems later down the line.

I can however swap the order (along with a refund of the difference) for our non Gold Angel Eyes. These are in stock and our most popular model by far without any issues since we have been retailing it.

Please let me know if that would be okay. Furthermore I have noticed that you have bought x2 sets so that's enough to cover 2 vehicles. Is this correct? As we generally get customers mistaking the order and buying x2 sets when in actual fact they only require the single one.

Again please accept my apologies about this inconvenience caused. I will also happily refund another 5% off your order due to the delay. Look forward to hearing from you.
"

So after throwing my toys out the pram about the lack of communication it appears they are sorting my issue out and saving me more money then I'd expected!

Cheers Horizon.

I'll post back upon successful receipt of the Angel Eyes.

Just a small update:

New Angel Eyes arrived last week as per previous post.

Refund is apparently in the works but it's been 9 days; they said 7-10 days for the refund to go through. One more day then I'll be emailing again.

Still not using them again with all the hassle its been!

Anthony

So one final update!

It was day 11 without a refund so I decided to fire off the email stating I was seeking a chargeback via my bank and they would hear from me/the bank soon!

Spoke with the bank (day 11) and got the form posted to me, emailed Horizon stating that I'd made good on my promise to seek a chargeback!

3 days later (day 14) the chargeback form arrives and I decide to check my account one last time...Low and behold on the day I tell them I'm going to perform a chargeback, I get my refund!

Now we all know it takes 3 days max to get a refund, on credit cards it's almost instant (to go into pending anyway). So to take 11 days means they were just holding onto the cash.

To add to the annoyance, not once during the waiting period (other then the refund processed email) did they communicate with me, not even to this day!

Never using them again!

Cowboy company! Lesson learnt!

I'm having similar issues with HIDS Direct. Placed order on 4th Sept, still not arrived. Have emailed, DM'd and tweeted them an no reply.
Will be initiating chargeback when I get home from holiday tomorrow.
...that or I might turn up at their warehouse, seeing as it's in Manchester.

I will be avoiding these types of companies from now on and going to larger ones with a telephone number and reputation.

Clearly run by someone with no idea about customer service or business knowledge.

That's not a bad thing if you can cut folks a deal like Black Friday Or thanksgiving. We get ripped here forVAT/customs duty so any discounts like free shipping always help. The U.K. Clearly don't like it we can get things cheaper from our American cousins so we get taxed like no tomorrow!

So...I decided to order from Horizon again...what a fool I am!

I wanted some LED fog lights and wanted them next day. Horizon were selling the ones I wanted and for less then £30 total I could have them guaranteed Saturday (next day).

So at 0900 on Friday I placed my order and money was gone there and then. So Saturday rolls on and roll off without any sign of a parcel for me. Horizons policy is any order before 1200 will get next day, although it looks like for me it doesn't apply.

I email that night asking for a refund due to missing there delivery date and the fact I was frustrated they still appeared to be useless.

3 days later (tuesday) they email back stating that they had attempted delivery (on Saturday) but because I was not in they returned the parcel to sender...I was in all day and that's not how delivery companies work, they try a few times before then send it back. Also, no delivery card was left.

They claim they resent it on Tuesday via Royal mail and subsequently are refusing a refund until it's returned (I still hve no idea if they really sent it, I just know I don't have it). On every occasion they refused (by ignoring me) to send me any proof of postage or tracking numbers.

Since Tuesday they have ignored me by not responding to any attempt at communication.

It's now been 11 days since order and I'm now processing a chargeback via my credit card company.

The moral of the story again is: DON'T USE HORIZON LEDs LTD - or if you do, be prepared to be disappointed.

Not sure why someone would go back to the company and buy a product after they ignored emails and refunds the first time around.

I figured I'd see if they had changed and besides I didn't find any other company to supply them.

It's like when you're told the plate is hot, but you touch it anyway.

You ever seen the Simpsons sketch where Lisa rigs up a cupcake to a battery to shock Bart, and he continues to try to eat it and gets shocked every time?

That's me.

There are a few guides online that tell you what size bulb or type goes where and then you can order them off e-bay for roughly the same cost or less in some cases.
